2. Map my race
You won’t need to buy an activity tracker if you bring your phone – and the Map My Run app – with you on your morning jog.

3. Runtastic Workout Timer App
Keep your workouts on track with the free Runtastic Workout Timer app. Part of the popular Runtastic line of fitness apps, this download brings a new twist to a traditional stopwatch.

4. Running and cycling Strava
The Strava app is like a social network for athletes.
Use the free download to record your runs and rides, track your performance on the leaderboards, and watch the progress of your friends who also use the app. You can even leave kudos or comments while you watch the workouts your friends are recording.
If you really enjoy downloading, pay Strava Premium for additional features including heart rate analysis, live tracking of your friends’ activity and more.
Not looking for a full body workout? Just strengthen your core by perfecting your push-up form. The principle is simple: over the course of six weeks, work your way up until you are able to perform 100 push-ups.
There are plenty of push-up oriented apps out there, so pick one that’s right for you.
Perhaps best known for being featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank”, the free Sworkit app gives you the visual aid you need if you don’t know how to perform certain exercises. Customize the workout however you like, from 5 to 60 minutes, and watch trainer videos to make sure you’re in shape.
