The Department of Defense launched its newly enhanced MySECO website, bringing career and education resources to military spouses easier and faster than ever.
MySECO is part of DOD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, which provides career and education advice to military spouses around the world. MySECO enhancements create a more personalized and enhanced experience for military spouses as they navigate the career and education opportunities on the website.
âSECO connects military spouses with benefits and support that help them overcome barriers to employment, such as frequent moves,â said Patricia âPattyâ Montes Barron, assistant deputy secretary defense for the military community and family policy. âMySECO is an important tool for spouses and we are delighted to provide them with an easier, faster and more intuitive way to explore their interests, search for trades, find scholarships, search for schools and find a job. employment.”
Thanks to the enhancements, spouses can more easily access everything SECO has to offer, including the My Career Advancement Account scholarship, which provides eligible spouses with up to $ 4,000 for education and training. ; The Military Spouse Employment Partnership Job Search Tool, which searches for career opportunities among the 500 companies and organizations that are committed to recruiting, hiring, promoting and retaining military spouses; the Military Spouse Transition Program; CV reviews; specialized career coaching packages; and more.
