DOMINICAN TRIO NAMED IN ALL ACADEMIC MEN’S TENNIS TEAM CACC
Orangeburg, New York (7/8/21) Fourteen (14) student-athletes were named Thursday to the 2020-2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men’s College Tennis Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 14 winners represent five of ACCC’s member institutions that have an academic program in sport.
The Dominican College had three players who received All-Academic honors for the first time in their careers. Second year Skylar ross (Johannesburg, South Africa) maintains a cumulative grade point average in her major in Business Management / Marketing. Teammate Guilherme Salim (Brasilia, Brazil) has a cumulative GPA of 3.50 in her major in Financial Management and Angel Lugo have a cumulative average of 3.50 in their major in business.
Concordia College, which won the 2020-21 CACC Championship, led the way with five winners, including Tobias Lentz’s team and the league’s best 4.0 GPA in his English / New Media major. The University of Science was second on the list with four student-athletes achieving All-Academic status. The best Devil GPA was a score of 3.93 held by Oscar Serra in his major in physics.
♦ Four of the winners achieved GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Jan Godfrey Seno of Concordia, Odissey Kavak of Thomas Jefferson University and Borna Markusic of USciences have been named to the CACC varsity team for the second time in their respective careers.
♦ Henry Masters of Concordia and Tomer Medler were the two notable to secure berths on the CACC All-Star team for the third time in their respective careers.
