Ghost video: South Yorkshire paranormal investigator films ‘ghost’ walking through old mill near Matlock
Andrew, who has investigated haunted places across Sheffield including pubs and former POW camps, was stunned when he looked at the footage he recorded in the ruins of an old mill . He seemed to see a ghostly figure sweep across the screen as he scanned the site.
He filmed it at an old mill in Stanton-in-Peak, near Matlock, and described the footage as the closest he’s seen to a ghost captured on video. He said: “I was at what I was told was an old stone mill, which was used to produce animal feed. I had been to this area to investigate the Stone Circle of the Nine Stone Ladies, but thought the Old Mill was more interesting.
When Andrew watched the video he had recorded, he was amazed to see an image that looked like a figure walking through the frame. “As I walk away in the video, something seems to be following me,” he said.
“It’s the weirdest thing I’ve captured in 20 years as a paranormal investigator. It’s the one thing I’ve filmed that made me think twice,” he said. he adds.
“My first thought was that I had filmed a ghost. Traditionally, I was more interested in things that I recorded on sound recording equipment. This would have been around 6 p.m. on Sunday (November 6). I went there without knowing the site too much, and I will definitely go back.”
He said he couldn’t rule out the possibility that it was fog or humidity, but he had never seen anything like it in any of the videos he recorded during his investigations at the over the years.
