Representative Buck honors military heroes ahead of Memorial Day – The Fort Morgan Times
U.S. Representative Ken Buck, R-Windsor honored the memory of military veterans who made the sacrifice Memorial Day Resolution he wrote to the United States House.
“Countless American heroes have died fighting to protect and defend our nation, and it is impossible to sufficiently describe the significance of their service and sacrifice,” the resolution reads. “But as a grateful nation, the best way to honor their memory is to cherish the freedoms and freedoms they fought for.”
America will observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 31, a day set aside to honor those who served and died in military action. Many local communities will observe Memorial Day with tributes.
In his resolution, Buck reflected on President Ronald Reagan’s remarks at an earlier celebration at Arlington National Cemetery:
“As we honor their memory today, let us promise that their life, their sacrifices, their worth will be justified and remembered as long as God gives life to this nation. And let us also pledge to do all we can to achieve what must have been their wish: that no other generation of young men will ever have to share their experiences and repeat their sacrifice.
