MONITEAU COUNTY, Missouri (KMIZ)
Two men are charged after a fatal motorcycle accident on May 22, 2021, near Highway 87 near Shepherd Road in Moniteau County.
A Moniteau County prosecutor has charged Ryan Wolfe with DWI – the death of another after he flipped another vehicle onto a motorcycle. The prosecutor also charged Dillon Snider with leaving the scene of a fatal crash and tampering with physical evidence.
Wolfe was riding the motorcycle that overturned Snider’s vehicle according to the probable cause statement. According to a witness, Snider broke Wolfe’s motorcycle causing the wreckage.
The witness said Snider’s vehicle then left. Investigators recovered 23 pieces of Snider’s alleged vehicle. A tip was then given to the soldiers that the vehicle was behind a building in Olean and was registered with Snider.
Detectives spoke with Snider and he said he was trying to turn left onto a gravel road when the accident happened.
Wolfe spoke with investigators in the emergency room. According to the probable cause statement, Wolfe was hesitant to answer investigators’ questions, but spoke freely and openly with emergency room personnel. The investigator then obtained a blood sample.
Both men have a first arraignment scheduled for July 26.
Both men do not have a listed defense attorney, according to online court documents.
