Witnesses report a strike against a Russian military unit in Kherson
Eyewitnesses reported an attack on a Russian military unit in Kherson.
Serhii Khlan, deputy of the regional council and adviser to the head of the Kherson regional military administration, said this in a Facebook post, reports Ukrinform.
“In Kherson, a precise hit on a military unit of the occupants of Pestelia Street. It had been burning since it was hit at 5 a.m., then again when it was hit at 10 a.m. Eyewitnesses report that Russians were crying under the rubble,” the report read.
“Several explosions rocked the temporarily occupied city of Kherson today. So say local residents,” the report said.
Ukrainian missiles reportedly targeted the Pestelia Street military unit.
In photos published by eyewitnesses, the smoke is coming from this area.
Explosions were heard in Kherson early on 9 July and reports of a fire at an enemy ammunition dump were confirmed.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk called on residents of temporarily occupied regions in southern Ukraine, in particular Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, to evacuate as soon as possible by all possible means, so that the Ukrainian armed forces could liberate these territories without endangering the civilian population.
