X-Men 2023 Fan Immersive Uncanny Experience Brings Marvel to Life
Next year, X-Men fans can gather in Minneapolis to attend panels, photo ops and meet and greet real X-Men celebrities – all while playing in a setting inspired by the Xavier School she -same.
The Uncanny Experience is the inaugural event from Giant-Size Productions – which is not affiliated with Marvel Entertainment – and it promises to transform the majestic architecture of the Minneapolis Club with “unique immersive elements in a historical environment X-Mansion type”. The weird experience will also include a cosplay contest, panels, signings and star guests to rival any comic con, including X-Men architect Chris Claremont and talent from the upcoming Disney Plus. X-Men: The Animated Series the comeback, X-Men ’97. According to a Giant-Size press release:
Each attendee will receive an Uncanny student ID badge to participate in the event, take Instagram-worthy photos in the historic venue, meet our special guests through dedications and signs, attend classes on various topics such as the history of mutants and understanding tarot with tarot, enjoy the self-service video arcade (chili fries not included), and find other mutant enthusiasts. […] The weekend ends with a graduation ceremony where attendees will receive a diploma if they complete the immersive experience activations spread throughout the mansion.
The Uncanny Experience will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 16-17, 2023, just as X-Men ’97 is – for the time being – planned for the premiere.
